This year, do not go to the Asterix park when it opened

This year, do not go to the Asterix park when it opened

Next week, Parc Astérix will reopen its doors for a 2025 season that promises to be packed with great surprises. Thrill-seekers are waiting to discover the renovation of Goudurix, while others are already imagining the adrenaline rush of Toutatis. But beware: this year, impatience could get the better of you. Want to discover the park's new family roller coaster? You'll have to postpone your visit for a few weeks.

Cétautomatix and its inauguration, patrèpratix

The biggest new feature of the 2025 season has emerged from the ground in the heart of the Gauloise zone, in place of the Nationale 7 attraction as well as the Foire aux 6 Trouilles and the Maison de la Peur, all closed in 2023. Parc Astérix has sacrificed these aging experiences in favor of a unique family coaster in Europe: Cétautomatix.

This spinning coaster-type attraction with rotating cars is the first to offer 4-seater floats where Visitors face each other (rather than back to back, as in Crush Coaster at Disneyland Paris, for example). These will accommodate the youngest Gauls, provided they are at least 1 meter tall. But with its winding route, a maximum height of 14 meters and a top speed of 45 km/h, it goes without saying that the roller coaster will be reserved for the most daring families.

Even though this ride designed by the blacksmith Cétautomatix is a dream come true, the village craftsman has unfortunately been delayed a bit. Without further details regarding the exact date, the coaster's inauguration is set for mid-May, a month and a half after the park's opening. It's therefore better to wait a few more weeks to discover Parc Astérix at its best.

A promotional offer for the impatient

Are you still eager to return to Parc Astérix? The indomitable Gauls have planned something to make up for it. From April 7th to May 7th, admission for children under 12 will be free from Monday to Friday, for any online reservation of a dated adult ticket. All you need to do is go to the park entrance with the ID of the accompanying children.

The timing of this offer suggests an inauguration (or at least the launch of the soft opening) of Cétautomatix starting Thursday, May 8th, just in time for the long weekend. The official announcement should be made soon and we will inform you in due course. In the meantime, visitors can still enjoy Les Fastes du Nil, a new fast-food restaurant in the Egyptian area of the park.
