Released in 2008, the video game Wall-E, developed by Asobo Studio could soon return in an improved version on PS4 and PS5. This is the rather surprising news of the moment, but which nevertheless seems very real since the title has just been re-evaluated by the Taiwanese clarification system.
Wall-E and other retro games at coming to PS5?
Although the title was released in 2008, it is the PS2 and PSP versions that could be entitled to a re-release very soon on PS4 and PS5 according to the Taiwanese classification system (similar to the ESRB in the USA or PEGI in Europe). Several Internet users were able to spot the game's page, with PS4 and PS5 versions listed.
There is a good chance that the title will return very quickly to PS4 and PS5, and integrate the PS Plus catalog for Premium subscribers, as many titles have done previously, including Dino Crisis in December.
As a reminder, Sony is in partnership with the company Implicit Conversions, a company which specializes in preserving retro video games and offers remasters of old PS1, PS2 and PSP games via an emulation system, allowing to bring better resolutions as well as other improvements such as better graphics, trophies and even online features.
Recently, Implicit Conversions announced their road map indicating that they would soon support the emulation of PS3 games. This would then be a large catalog of classics that could then potentially join PS Plus in the months and years to come.
