Major updates are coming to Assassin's Creed Shadows. After a successful month of launch, the team is ready to openly communicate its future plans for the game and has set a date for April 30, 2025, to reveal much more. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but information about the Awaji Hunt DLC would be in order. In the meantime, the community is improving this episode on its own. AC Shadows offers a feature highly requested for free but... only on PC.

A remake of the Visitors for this Assassin's Creed Shadows mod

A new patch for the Epic Games Store version has added 54 achievements for completionists. Alongside this, modders continue to get their hands dirty to improve certain aspects. NexusMods user Petrichor23 offers a mod for download to "control the time of day and intensity of the main light of the sun and the moon. So you're free to travel the world in daylight, nighttime, dawn, and other times, without depending on a script.

When the Assassin's Creed Shadows team asked what players would like to see, quite a few mentioned the possibility of being able to have more influence on the time of day, and therefore on the day/night cycle. This AC Shadows "Time of Day - Lightning Control" mod, which therefore offers a free feature This highly requested mod is available on Nexusmods with instructions in English on how to install it.

If you want to mod Assassin's Creed Shadows on PC, there is another mod "Remove Silly Effects" that aims to bring more realism to the game. This removes the white outline when stealthing, the orange glow on an enemy's armor when hit / wounded, sword and arrow trails, loot highlighting, elemental effects on player and enemy armor and weapons, and finally the blue and red attack indicator.
