The Witcher 3 slaps us in 8K, it's sublime

The Witcher 3 is unanimously recognized as one of the best games in history. Continuing its revisitation of Andrzej Sapkowski's novelistic universe, CD Projekt has managed to offer us a complex and captivating adventure from start to finish in the shoes of Geralt of Rivia. What's more, the title has stood the test of time and continues to refine itself like a fine wine. Proof of this is once again in video.

The Witcher 3, the ultimate version visually?

Content creator Digital Dreams has struck again. Known for his ultra-modded game videos that push their graphical limits as far as possible, he consistently impresses with renderings you wouldn't believe. Even a title released 10 years ago like The Witcher 3 is completely reborn on his machine.

In one of his latest videos, Digital Dreams takes us on a stroll through the medieval world of The Witcher 3. With the help of more than 200 mods and the prowess of his RTX 5090 card, he managed to rework the cult title to run it in 8K and at a constant 60 FPS.

This stroll in Geralt's boots brings back many memories. But, above all, it impresses with the cinematographic atmosphere that now emerges with this rendering. In the modder's hands, The Witcher 3 gains brightness, and this, in a natural way. The game may lose its initial flavor, lugubrious as desired, but it must be recognized that it is sumptuous to observe.

It is rather on the technical point that the performance is slightly lacking. On a standard 1080p screen, the rendering will not live up to what the work promises on monitors offering a better resolution. The image can indeed be subject to ghosting. Likewise, you'll notice some lag and stuttering. What if, ultimately, using DLSS ends up harming the experience? But, if you have the setup at height, then the experience promises to be sublimated.
