Baldur's Gate 3: The studio's next games are looking just crazy

Baldur's Gate 3 has officially had its swan song after Patch 8 released on April 15th. A sprawling page is turning for Larian Studios. Its CEO, Swen Vincke, also gave a little teaser about the studio's next adventures in an interview with GameSpot. And, even if we will probably have to wait a long time to see the result, it promises to be even more ambitious than the already impressive GOTY 2023.

Un apres Baldur's Gate 3 « "incredibly ambitious" for Larian Studios

Baldur's Gate 3 will unfortunately no longer receive any new content, DLC, or sequel from Larian Studios. Despite this, the title is still doing extremely well, with Patch 8 bringing many players back to the Forgotten Realms. For Larian Studios, however, it is time to move on to new adventures. In this case, we already know that it is working on two RPGs simultaneously. A difficult task in itself, but even more so if we are to believe the enormous ambitions of his studio regarding them.

Swen Vincke, CEO of Larian Studios, had this to say: to GameSpot on the subject of what comes after Baldur's Gate 3: "We're currently in the trenches working on our next big project. It's actually starting to take shape in a beautiful way, but it's incredibly ambitious. There's so much you can do these days that it's becoming very complex. So we'll have to be patient to see what it's all about. A Divinity Original Sin 3? A whole new franchise in a radically different universe? The father of Baldur's Gate 3 leaves that to fan speculation.

Especially since Swen Vincke has also confirmed that Larian Studios is indeed working on two new games more or less simultaneously, following the opening of new offices in Warsaw last year. "In addition to an extremely ambitious upcoming game, we're trying to organize ourselves as best we can to develop two games at the same time. It's not easy, especially when you're working on very complex projects that offer a lot of freedom to players. Predicting when such things will be finished is not easy, but I think we're on track." After Baldur's Gate 3, it definitely looks very promising for fans of RPGs and Larian Studios. iframe-wrapper">
