Berserk: an XXL collaboration with this iconic game announced

While everyone is waiting for the new editions of Berserk, the manga is also preparing to make its return to the video game world. Indeed, Kentaro Miura's cult franchise will appear in a legendary video game franchise, whose universe, it must be said, blends perfectly with the dark atmosphere of Berserk.

The Video Game History of Berserk

Although the release of Berserk has always been chaotic, fans have been able to explore its universe through other means, notably through video games. The license has had three video game adaptations in its history: Sword of the Berserk: Guts' Rage on Dreamcast, Berserk: Millenium Falcon Hen Seima Senki no Sho on PS2 and more recently Berserk and the Band of the Falcon, available on almost all platforms. If the quantity has not been there, quality has been there. And if some do not find that enough, Berserk has also passed a head into other licenses to fill this gap.

With its dark fantasy universe, Berserk has naturally invited itself into several games dealing more or less with this dark genre. Kentaro Miura's license has notably collaborated with Dragon's Dogma, Black Desert Online and Crusaders Quest. Obviously, fans dream of seeing Berserk join forces with other cult licenses, and they will be delighted to know that this dream will finally come true with one of them.

Berserk collaborates with Blizzard

Certain franchises immediately come to mind when imagining a collaboration with Berserk, and Diablo is clearly one of them. This fantasy will finally become reality, as Blizzard has unveiled a teaser announcing a collaboration between Diablo Immortal - and a priori Diablo IV - and Berserk. While the exact content of this partnership remains a mystery, we can still applaud the studio's effort to opt for animation to announce this news.

This announcement is enough to make you smile, however, it was received in a mixed way. The last two Diablos are not among the most appreciated episodes of the saga. In another context, the collaboration with Berserk would undoubtedly have been better received. Some fans even took it badly, preferring to see the manga from another studio. Of course, the one that always comes up in discussions is FromSoftware. The Japanese company maintains a special relationship with Berserk, multiplying references to the manga in its games, notably in Elden Ring. Despite this, there has never been any real collaboration between the two. Our dream would be for there to be a Berserk game from them, but that's another story. In the meantime, we'll make do with this collaboration with Diablo which, despite the criticism, is welcome.
