ChatGPT: OpenAI opens the floodgates of its most powerful models for subscribers Plus

OpenAI offers different subscriptions to ChatGPT, ranging from free (but limited) access to the chatbot to an “Enterprise” plan, including “Plus” and “Team” offers. Each of these offers access to more or less features and offers the possibility of testing different artificial intelligence models. The company has just made available updated its terms of use by increasing the access limits for the "Plus" subscription to the ChatGPT-o3 and o4-mini models, without changing its prices.

An increase in quotas for the Plus subscription

The free subscription to ChatGPT already allows the chatbot to be used quite efficiently, and it even gives access to the GPT-4o model, but in a limited way depending on the traffic. Quotas for web browsing or image generation are also in place; To free yourself from these constraints, a paid subscription is essential. The "Plus" offer allows you to access OpenAI's generative artificial intelligence even during peak periods, with response times that are expected to be faster.

For $20 per month, this "Plus" subscription also allows you to use different models (o3, o4-mini and o4-mini-high), as well as to test GPT-4.5. Access to these more advanced models is, however, limited in volume, but it is precisely these restrictions that OpenAI has just relaxed. It is now possible with this subscription to send around a hundred requests per week to the ChatGPT-o3 model, and up to 400 messages per day using the o4-mini model. Access to the o4-mini-high model, which is more oriented development and programming, also benefits from an increased limit of 100 messages per day.

However, you will still need to upgrade to the “Pro” subscription at least to benefit from other OpenAI models such as GPT-o1; the latter has the particularity of taking its time to better study user requests, with in return even more relevant and precise responses.
