After the end of C8 and his show Touche Pas à Mon Poste, Cyril Hanouna announced that he would be joining the M6 group during the next media season. But his plans may well have changed because the host could well abandon television to seriously engage in a new project.
Cyril Hanouna on W9? Not sure...
Since the end of February and the closure of C8, Cyril Hanouna's future must be at M6. Indeed, the former host of TPMP must join the audiovisual group to host a daily show on W9 as well as a show on Fun Radio in the afternoon. But be careful, Cyril Hanouna will have to respect strict instructions imposed by his future bosses: not to talk about politics as he did on C8. However, in parallel with this much-discussed media transfer, a rumor has been circulating for a while now and which would have been confirmed by one of the host/producer's close associates.
Quitting television to conquer the Élysée
Indeed, Cyril Hanouna is indeed actively preparing his plan to run in the next presidential election scheduled for 2027. At the beginning of the year, the host had declared that he was "the only one who can save France" then, last February, he denied this political project claiming that "France is ungovernable", that he did not want to "go to hell" and that he will do it "one day only if we have the chance to save France".
But according to information from the magazine Public, the presenter would have the intention to abandon television to enter the race for the Élysée Palace. In an email from Lionel Stan, the general director of his production company H2O, Cyril Hanouna is said to be "still thinking about it" and "he may only do radio next year to prepare for 2027". He added:
Cyril is on his way to the Élysée Palace, this is no joke.
A few weeks ago, we learned that Hanouna had brought together a team to think about a future political program. Moreover, Public claims that a book by the presenter should be released in early 2026 by Fayard, which could outline the contours of a program for 2027. The question remains whether or not Cyril Hanouna will run for president. That is the question! Recently, a survey conducted by Harris Interactive revealed that if the presenter were to run in the 2027 election, he would be credited with 11% of voting intentions.
