We thought it was just a rumor, but it seems to be serious: Cyril Hanouna is indeed expected to run in the 2027 presidential election! The host of Touche Pas à Mon Poste is on the cover of Valeurs Actuelles, in a suit, with the announcement of his candidacy and his detailed program. A crazy announcement to which he reacted live.
Cyril Hanouna candidate?
The magazine Valeurs Actuelles states this in an issue to be published Wednesday, and whose cover was previewed yesterday. On the cover, the star presenter poses in costume, with a headline that's hard to miss: "2027 Candidate Hanouna". According to the media Cerfia, the main points of Cyril Hanouna's program for the 2027 presidential election will be detailed there:
- Minimum wage increased to €2,200–2,300
- Creation of a “French-style Guantanamo” for the 100 most dangerous criminals
- Grouping of ministries (excluding Matignon and Bercy) into a super-pole in Paris
- 30% reduction in the number of deputies
- Reduction in parliamentary allowances
- Abolition of VAT on basic necessities
- VAT modulated according to the level of salary
- Massive reduction of charges for SMEs
- Social security reserved for salaries below €2,500
- No Frexit, but renegotiation of treaties to ease standards, particularly agricultural standards
- Significantly reduced immigration
- Waiver of the presidential salary; he wants to maintain his role as host to organize major democratic debates - contrary to what rumors were saying about his departure from TV
- Construction of a padel court in the gardens of the Elysée Palace
No, we didn't make a mistake on this last point, but it will be at Cyril Hanouna's expense.
Cyril Hanouna reacts live
"Tomorrow [Tuesday, April 29] we'll do the whole show on this," @Cyrilhanouna reacts to the front page of Valeurs actuelles, in #OMSLT on #Europe1. pic.twitter.com/2uLJzOwNq1

Yesterday, during his show On marche sur la tête, broadcast on Europe 1 from Monday to Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Cyril Hanouna, who is also the subject of a very compromising investigation, reacted live to the front page of Valeurs Actuelles:
There's a front page that's setting fire to, circulating, everywhere on social networks. It's a front page of Valeurs actuelles, with me in costume. Tomorrow [Tuesday] we'll do the whole show on it, we'll ask the editor and the journalist to come and I'll tell you the truth tomorrow at the end of the show, or Wednesday. [...] It's not an interview, I'm not announcing my candidacy, but I'll tell everything on Europe 1. I spoke with him, because I know the journalist well and I like him a lot. And he called all my friends and family to find out, and it was on their initiative that I discussed it.
The editorial director of Valeurs actuelles, Tugdual Denis, and the journalist in charge of the dossier will be present on this afternoon's show On marche sur la tête, and Cyril Hanouna promises answers - but as he says himself, this teasing is also a way to gain an audience.
Cyril Hanouna, a serious candidate?
As we write these lines, the Valeurs Actuelles issue in question has not yet been released, and Cyril Hanouna has not yet confirmed his candidacy. New information is regularly shared in dribs and drabs: according to the media Alertes Infos, Cyril Hanouna's political party is called "OXYGÈNE," to "make France breathe" again. The magazine's dossier also reportedly contains a poll conducted by Ifop, crediting him with 10% of French people's voting intentions if he were to run in the 2027 presidential election. It would therefore appear that within two years, the presenter will indeed be in the running to succeed Emmanuel Macron. As for Internet users, they still can't believe it:
