You can see the Google Pixel Watch 4 from all angles in a rendering video that reveals the entire design of the smartwatch. The leak seems to suggest the arrival of wireless charging and a larger battery.
Google's strong point is really not keeping its future products secret, a new leak concerning the Pixel Watch 4 provides yet another proof of this. 91mobiles has published a 360° rendering video in partnership with OnLeaks to give us a first glimpse of the design of Google's next smartwatch. We can see some design changes, which hint at the appearance of new features.
The dial is still circular, but the edges surrounding the screen appear thinner. We also notice the disappearance of the four small pins on the back, which are used to recharge the smartwatch on its dedicated USB-C support. This may mean that the Pixel Watch 4 will truly become compatible with wireless charging.
The design of the Pixel Watch 4 is revealed
The new model is 2 mm thicker than its predecessor (14.3 mm versus 12.3 mm). We hope that this extra weight will be used to house a higher capacity battery in order to improve battery life. During our test of the Pixel Watch 3, we were disappointed by the product's endurance, which was one of its main flaws.
Two buttons are added on each side of the speaker, but their usefulness is unknown at the moment. These could be shortcuts to launch specific functions quickly, to complement the navigation crown. Google should not change the size of the display and stick with two options: 41 mm and 45 mm.
So here is the first information we have available for the Pixel Watch 4. We are also expecting a new chip to replace the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1, with perhaps the integration of a home-made Tensor chip, like on smartphones. The Pixel Watch 4 is expected to be launched by Google alongside the Pixel 10 phones (which have also been leaked), which puts us around August.
