If the Back to the Future saga has you dreaming of the arrival of Nike shoes that lace themselves, then the next pair to hit the shelves might make your head spin even more. This pair, designed in partnership with the Hyperice brand, had already been presented on the sidelines of CES 2025, and had made a rather good impression on the journalists who had been able to put their feet in them.

Nike and Hyperice describe this new pair as a “wearable” comparable to your smartwatch or activity tracker. This raises hopes of an increasingly advanced integration of advanced technologies in future pairs of shoes from the cult brand. This model integrates a battery into each shoe, as well as a compression system at air capable of delivering a massage at the push of a button.

The user can also benefit from a heating element that allows them to never be cold during winter training. In detail, according to our colleagues at Cnet who had the privilege of trying the pair during its visit to the Las Vegas tech show, the massage itself works by compression, with a focus on the heel and the sole of the feet. Several settings are available for optimal results.

The heating system focuses on the same areas with again several settings accessible on each shoe. Additionally, each element charges via a USB Type-C port – in 5 or 6 hours in total. Unfortunately, Nike doesn't mention fast charging. Battery life is 1 to 1.5 hours when using the massage and continuous heating at maximum power. But it is possible to reach up to 8 hours if you only opt for continuous massage.

This pair won't be for everyone's budget, and you'll have to wait until later this year to get your hands on it in Europe. Nike's American customers will be able to buy it starting May 17th for $899. All sizes will be available, but it is not yet known to what extent production of the model will be limited in units.
