Earlier this week, we reported on the highly likely removals coming to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium in May. Every month, the on-demand games catalog of Sony's service says goodbye to several titles. But, this also happens to make room for new ones. Let's skip straight from May to June 2025, because a great game has already confirmed its day one arrival for subscribers.
An explosive day one game in PlayStation Plus Extra
It's becoming increasingly common for the on-demand games catalog The PlayStation Plus Extra (also available through the premium plan) welcomes new games as soon as they are released. We saw this again less than two weeks ago with the second part of Lost Records. In June, a highly anticipated multiplayer title will be making its debut: the impetuous FBC Firebreak. We've seen it several times during conferences in recent months. FBC Firebreak, the cooperative FPS in the Control universe, was initially announced for this year, particularly on the PlayStation Plus Extra. No one expected such an offering from Remedy's single-player game. However, gameplay clips are making us want more and more. The game will place us in the shoes of a volunteer in a team of three. Teamwork will be required to face the paranormal pandemonium that will unfold before us. Thus, together, we will have to fight to save the Bureau.
So all we needed was the exact date to know when we can get our hands on FBC Firebreak. We finally got the answer yesterday, during Remedy Entertainment's Developer Update. It's now official, multiplayer will be available from June 17, 2025. Find it on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Epic Games Store). The icing on the cake is that you can play it via PlayStation Plus Extra as well as Xbox Game Pass.
