After a particularly busy last State of Play in February 2025, PlayStation should soon give us an appointment for a next event, whether it's another State of Play or a more substantial Showcase. In any case, whatever form this conference takes, we already know that it will welcome a distinguished guest thanks to a teaser from them.
We're turning our eyes to the next PlayStation event
Two months after the last State of Play, the next big Live presentation shouldn't be too long in coming. While we don't yet know if Sony's gaming branch will be part of the Summer Game Fest 2025 festivities, it's hard to imagine it will miss the festival of big video game announcements this summer. In this sense, we should be entitled to a conference sometime in late May or early June. It remains to be seen We don't know if we have another State of Play in store for us, or a much more detailed Showcase, with huge announcements from the Japanese giant.
Speaking of huge announcements, we already know via a pleasant teaser that a certain Housemarque will be there in any case. As a reminder, the Finnish studio to whom we owe the excellent Returnal had closed the last State of Play in style with the announcement of Saros, its next game. On its X.com account, it tells us that it will return "later in the year" this time to show us some gameplay of its latest baby. With the next PlayStation conference just around the corner, it's safe to assume he'll be there.
It's worth noting, however, that Saros won't be released until 2026, exclusively on PS5. In the meantime, we have other big releases at PlayStation, such as Death Stranding 2 coming on June 26, 2025, as well as the highly anticipated Ghost of Yotei, which is still content with a vague "2025." We're betting that the next PlayStation conference should also allow us to see Sucker Punch's next game in action again, this time with a more specific release date. We're also not immune to other big announcements to see what the Japanese giant has in store for us. the future. Verdict in the coming weeks.
