On this point, the answer is perhaps in one of the striking elements of the trailer: the (very) numerous winks to the Aliensaga. We notably see the Weyland-Yutani logo on a damaged vehicle, and Thia's eyes display the same effect as Andy's android in Alien: Romulus, suggesting that she might not be entirely human. This opens the door to further speculation, where Badlands would become the starting point for a new film Alien vs. Predator.

With Predator: Badlands, Dan Trachtenberg continues to explore the Predator universe by focusing on a more intimate approach. The story, centered on survival and the alliance between two outcasts – a marginalized Predator and an isolated human – promises to renew the franchise's mythology.
