Every week you can play for less thanks to the numerous offers offered by video game giants. The Epic Games Store offers games every week, Xbox Game Pass allows its subscribers to take advantage of its Free Play Days, and Steam is always offering more good deals. Whether it's free games for a limited time, titles to keep forever, or new free-to-play titles, there's always something to do. This week, we reported that Steam was offering two free games. While one of the offers has already expired, a new game has just slipped into the list. A very welcome little surprise that you can enjoy right now, but without hanging around too long.
NOTE: Depending on when you read this article, the offer may no longer exist. Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do about it, even if we called Steam; we've already tried.
One more free game on Steam, a very good surprise
There are loads of niche games or little gems that have flown under the radar on Steam. Valve's platform is currently offering one, and it's available for free for a very limited time. From now on, you can play Mechabellum for free, a highly tactical strategy game that invites you to participate in XXL mechanized clashes. You must manage your army, dispatch units on the battlefield, and ensure that everything goes smoothly. Several dozen vehicles are available to carry out your missions, and you can even customize them. The only problem with the game: it quickly becomes very (too?) addictive, making it difficult to put down.
This new free game of the week is particularly popular on Steam. Overall, and recent, very positive ratings from thousands of players. Mechabellum is a game that's unique enough to be worth a look. The game is free on Steam until the end of the day on April 7th. You can play it fully during this time as if you owned it and keep your lead. It's even possible to upgrade to... checkout by taking advantage of the -20% promotion currently available.
