The Star Wars Celebration is in full swing. This major event dedicated to the universe created by George Lucas is conducive to all sorts of revelations about current and future projects. We already know that there are many. A new Star Wars trilogy is in preparation to continue the Skywalker story, while various spin-offs will also see the light of day. Among them, there is a Star Wars film starring Ryan Gosling (Drive, La La Land, Blade Runner 2049, Barbie...).
It will be directed by Shawn Levy, behind, among others, the Marvel film Deadpool & Wolverine. He also worked on of several episodes of the Stranger Things series. More precisely, the events of Star Wars Starfighter will begin 5 years after those of Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker. The project is currently in pre-production with filming scheduled to begin in the fall of 2025.

Star Wars Starfighter will be released in theaters on May 28, 2027.
