April is going to be a busy month for Xbox, packed with new features. Microsoft, which has just detailed all the new features rolling out this month on its platform, is going to please gamers. The Redmond company will finally allow the purchase of games from the Xbox mobile app, and allow players to stream their games.
Buy Xbox games from the mobile app
Microsoft has listened to its users' complaints. The first good news for gamers is that they will now be able to buy games directly from the Android or iOS mobile app. They will also be able to purchase additional content for their games, subscribe to Game Pass, or even redeem benefits from within the app. This was one of the most requested features in the Xbox gaming community.
Microsoft indicates that if you have already registered a payment method in your Xbox account, the application will automatically display a Buy button on the detailed game page. Be careful, however, these new features will initially only be accessible on the beta version of the Android and iOS application.
The games you own can be streamed
The second good news is that Microsoft will allow you to stream the games you own (in addition to the games in the Game Pass catalog) on your console, provided, of course, that you are subscribed to Game Pass Ultimate. Until now, this possibility was only available on select Samsung smart TVs, Amazon Fire Sticks, Meta Quest headsets, and web browsers.
This means you no longer need to download and install a game you own on your console to play it, freeing up space on your console.
Finally, Microsoft announces that it is expanding the ability to remotely play a game installed on your console. You can now do this from any device with a web browser by going to the page xbox.com/remoteplay. You will then only have to log in with your Xbox account and activate Remote Play to be able to start playing the games installed on your console remotely. remotely and from your web browser.
