During the Nintendo Switch 2 presentation, Big N confirmed its intention to improve certain Switch games on its next console. And what better way to do this than with the two adventures The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom? These two gems, which are among the manufacturer's best exclusives, will therefore receive graphical improvements such as HDR support, better resolution, and a higher and, above all, stable frame rate in the most complicated areas. A good opportunity for millions of players to (re)discover them.
No save problems with Zelda on Nintendo Switch 2
The Nintendo Switch 2 editions of the Zelda games will be offered to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers, while they should cost around ten euros for others. And if you don't own any version of these titles, there is still the option to purchase them for 79.99 euros (maximum recommended price), but you can forget about the Breath of the Wild expansion pass, which is not included.
But last week, a discovery about the Switch 2 edition of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom disappointed. On the pages of the e-shop or the official Nintendo website TOTK, we could read that cloud saving was not supported. And this was also the case for other games. After this unpleasant surprise, there is excellent news since the game will not disappoint you on this point on Nintendo Switch 2. Here is now the message displayed instead of the message on cloud saving management:
" Save data created in the second save file of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom– Nintendo Switch 2 Edition cannot be transferred to the Nintendo Switch version of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. In other words, expect to be able to recover your Zelda TOKT save on Switch 1 to continue your progress on Nintendo Switch 2, while the transfer in the opposite direction will not be possible regarding this second save file. Well, at the same time, what's the point of returning to the old version after having tasted the graphical and technical improvements?
