Several members of the cast of Avengers: Doomsday have been spotted dining in Bahrain in leaked photos. These photos (perhaps) confirm the presence of several characters from the cast of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Avengers: Doomsday – the film of the decade?
It seems that Avengers: Doomsday is preparing to set up its cameras in the Middle East. Indeed, several members of the cast of the Russo brothers' film were spotted in a restaurant in Bahrain.
Expected for December 2026, Avengers: Doomsday will mark the return of the Russo brothers behind the cameras of the franchise. After Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, the two brothers will be directing Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. Two highly anticipated installments that will adapt the famous comics Secret Wars and Secret Wars. Robert Downey Jr will also mark his return to the MCU, this time in the role of Dr. Doom. Many characters have already been announced for this superhero film, which looks set to be the most ambitious of all time.
Wakanda arrives in Doomsday
Photos of a meal in Bahrain have found their way onto the internet. Indeed, Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson), Letitia Wright (Shuri), Tenoch Huerta (Namor), Danny Ramirez (Joaquin Torres), Simu Liu (Shang-Chi), Winston Duke (M'Maku), Mabel Cadena (Namora), Alex Livinalli (Attuma) and Hannah John-Kamen (Ghost) were spotted sharing a meal.
This confirms the return of some characters already announced by Marvel. This is for example the case of Anthony Mackie, Letitia Wright, Tenoch Huerta or Danny Ramirez already confirmed in the cast in the past. In fact, the only surprise at this gathering was Mabel Cadena and Alex Livinalli, who had not yet been announced as part of the cast of Doomsday. This suggests that Namor will play an important role in Doomsday, accompanied by his two best warriors. Now it remains to be seen which side Namor will take. On the Avengers' side? Or on Doom's side?
What else do these photos tell us? And although a large part of the cast of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be present on the set of Doomsday. And that Sam Wilson, aka the new Captain America and Joaquin Torres, the new Falcon, will join forces with the forces of Wakanda.
Our questions mainly turn to Shang-Chi and Ghost. Why do Simu Liu and Hannah John-Kamen appear at this table? The former has not yet had any connection with Wakanda in the past. As for the latter, it is quite surprising to see her without the other Thunderbolts (recently renamed the New Avengers). But then, where are U.S. Agent, Bucky, or Yelena? Are they dead? Or has Ghost been sent on a mission to Wakanda? It's hard to say.
In the comics, there's an arc called Doomwar, in which Doom invades Wakanda and takes possession of the resources of this fictional African country. He decides to extend his hegemony over Black Panther's country and seizes the Vibranium. In response, T'Challa assembles a team of superheroes capable of reclaiming Wakanda. As an aside, Deadpool is even sent as a scout since he literally can't get killed. Perhaps the Russo brothers will take inspiration from this plot and stage Doom in Wakanda. This would allow for a reaction from several characters like Captain America, Shuri, or even Namor.
