To the dismay of many Baldur's Gate 3 fans, the release of Patch 8 officially marked the end of Larian Studios' long-term support for the 2023 GOTY. Larian Studios is already working on not one, but two new games. A project already ambitious in itself, for two upcoming titles that would be just as ambitious, according to its CEO Swen Vincke. The cheerful Belgians are in any case preparing the ground and want to give themselves the means to achieve their crazy ambitions, notably by going through a major recruitment phase.
The studio behind Baldur's Gate 3 is recruiting for its next games
Since the release of the two Divinity Original Sin games, and especially Baldur's Gate 3, the small independent studio Larian Studios has grown considerably. Despite this independence that is so dear to it, it now has around 500 employees, spread across various branches around the world. A nice workforce that is clearly not yet enough to bring its two new so-called "extremely ambitious" games currently in production to life. This is why it recently opened a brand new department and is recruiting people to strengthen a central element of its works: storytelling.
The two opuses Original Sin and Baldur's Gate 3 have clearly shown us: Larian Studios is particularly fond of RPGs with a very rich story, with numerous narrative branches capable of responding to the slightest decisions of the players. Its next two days should not deviate from this central element of the studio's DNA. That's why he needs extra hands to write his next stories.
He sets the tone with his characteristic humor: "Are you the kind of person who invents a stomach-churning story, complete with lore and a pronunciation guide for that mysterious stomach bug, just so you don't have to work tomorrow? We want your voice for our new narrative department." The post-Baldur's Gate 3 project thus requires various positions in the field, such as a department manager, creative developers, or a senior editor. If you think you have what it takes, you can find the aforementioned offers on the Larian Studios' recruitment site, also cited as a source below.
