Clair Obscur Expedition 33: Major issues fixed, but not for everyone

With Clair Obscur Expedition 33, the French studio Sandfall Interactive has delivered a masterful slap in the face with almost no false notes, immediately praised by critics and players. But this superb painting does have a few more or less disturbing snags, which a modder quickly corrected for those interested, while waiting for a possible more official patch.

Unofficial painting touches on Clair Obscur Expedition 33

For such an ambitious title developed by a small team of around thirty people, Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is technically very solid, despite some performance issues on consoles and more modest PC configurations. The title also has some elements that bother some players, including cutscenes stuck at 30 FPS, and problems for those equipped with ultrawide screens.

While waiting for Sandfall Interactive to address these pitfalls with a patch, a modder has released a very comprehensive mod to correct these problems and provide access to certain otherwise unavailable features. Soberly named. However, this mod, soberly named Clair Obscur Fix, is only accessible on PC, and via GitHub. However, its installation is very simple, since it is enough to place the downloaded files in the root folder of the game.

This therefore offers several elements in addition to removing the 30 FPS cap in cutscenes and a fix for the field of vision for ultrawide screens. It also allows you to skip intro logos when launching Clair Obscur, remove vertical or horizontal black bars in cutscenes, or even force texture sharpening. It also opens access to the developer console, for the most tinkering players. If you feel the need, you can download it via its dedicated GitHub page, also cited in the source below.
