The next Marvel series for Disney+ has an official premiere date and trailer. Ironheart seems to be positioned somewhere between Iron Man and Black Panther.
Whether in theaters or as a TV series, Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) hasn't exactly been a huge success among fans, aside from a few good picks like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Season 2 of Loki. This phase 5 is about to conclude with Ironheart, a few months after the broadcast of Daredevil: Born Again.
Disney+ has just released a trailer for its six-episode miniseries, confirming a release date of June 24, 2025 on the platform. On that date, it will be possible to watch the first three episodes. It is not specified whether the next three episodes will be made available the following week, or if the streaming service will only offer one per week.
Ironheart, between Iron Man and Black Panther?
Ironheart focuses on the character of Riri Williams. For those who haven't been following, she is the young female scientist introduced in
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. In the series, she develops a technological armor that strongly resembles Iron Man's. And as the trailer suggests, she will achieve her goals and become a kind of Iron Woman. Dominique Thorne, who plays Riri Williams, announced some time ago that she had received Robert Downey Jr.'s blessing for this project.

The main antagonist will be Parker Robbins, better known as The Hood. Anthony Ramos will play the supervillain. In the comic books, The Hood is notably opposed to Punisher and Doctor Strange. He also participates in the events of Civil War and Secret Invasion.
Disney+'s communication around this Ironheart has been rather timid for the moment, suggesting that it is a minor production of the MCU. Perhaps also the platform wanted to wait until the end of the broadcast of Andor season 2 to talk about Ironheart, in order to avoid the heavy internal competition with the acclaimed Star Wars series.
