The Fallout series has been a huge hit for Amazon Prime Video. It's one of the video streaming platform's biggest hits, along with The Rings of Power, and in some territories, such as the United States, the adaptation of Bethesda's cult franchise has even surpassed the TV show based on Tolkien's work. This success has allowed Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy to offer a second season that's already highly anticipated, especially for all fans of New Vegas. We finally have a date and a first glimpse of the sequel; it's going to be crazy.

Prime Video officially unveils Fallout Season 2

In the middle of the May 8, 2025 holiday, the official Prime Video account announced the end of production on Fallout Season 2, opening the door to a broadcast in the coming months. This is excellent news that has made many people happy, especially after the reception given to Season 1. While we could have feared the worst, like so many other video game adaptations, the duo behind Westworld, Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, have captured the essence of the franchise and not disappointed.

The sequel is therefore extremely anticipated, especially when we know what's coming. In this second season 2 of Fallout, the characters will travel to the Mojave Desert, like in a little game called New Vegas. A destination that is confirmed with the first official preview shared by Amazon during its second Upfront event of 2025. The teaser is very short, but we see Lucy (Ella Purnell) and The Ghoul (Walton Goggins) glance at each other before discovering the horizon and the Las Vegas of the series.

This is not the first time we have images of Fallout Season 2, but usually, these are unofficial leaks from the set. The other element to remember from this teaser is the release window. Amazon could have kept the suspense going but preferred to announce excellent news. The new episodes of the Fallout series will be broadcast exclusively on Prime Video starting in December 2025. For the final date, however, you will have to wait a little longer.
