The Korean manufacturer, whose new generation of 2025 OLED TVs is newly available, has just announced that they will be compatible with G-SYNC technology. An announcement that is not only aimed at casual gamers, but clearly at demanding gamers looking for maximum performance and fluidity, even on the big screen.
G-SYNC arrives on OLED TVs
Until now reserved for the world of high-end gaming monitors, NVIDIA G-SYNC technology is finally arriving in living rooms. Specifically, it synchronizes the screen refresh rate with that of the GPU, eliminating tearing and stuttering. The result: a clear, fluid display, even in the midst of frenetic action.
To get the most out of it, Samsung is also integrating its in-house Motion Xcelerator technology, which pushes the refresh rate up to 165 Hz on certain models. A rare feat for an OLED TV, which is clearly aimed at PC and console gamers.
Beyond G-SYNC compatibility, Samsung's OLED 2025 models tick all the boxes for gamers. There's support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) which drastically reduces input lag, and the famous Samsung Gaming Hub. The latter centralizes access to a multitude of gaming services and platforms, from Xbox via Game Pass Ultimate to GeForce NOW.
Samsung is also introducing an "AI Auto Game mode," capable of analyzing the type of game and context in real time to automatically adjust audio and video settings. This is a way to ensure that the player always benefits from the best configuration, without having to get their hands dirty with the settings. And for those who like to stay in control, the Game Bar interface lets you change settings on the fly during gameplay, without leaving the screen.
A TV for gaming, but not only
These new OLED TVs aren't all about gaming. Samsung hasn't forgotten other uses with technologies like AI Upscaling, which improves the quality of low-resolution content, or Glare Free, which limits reflections for better visual comfort, even in broad daylight. All in a connected and integrated environment, thanks to SmartThings, which lets you control your home automation devices from the screen.
NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility will first be offered on the flagship S95F model, before being gradually extended to the rest of the 2025 OLED range. This strategy suggests a deliberate move upmarket for living room TVs, which are gradually establishing themselves as credible alternatives to traditional gaming screens.
