In 2023, millions of apprentice wizards entered Hogwarts in a brand new game. A real success that year, Hogwarts Legacy was a bit like the Harry Potter video game that fans had been waiting for. While not without its flaws, Avalanche Software's production still brought the right dose of magic to the lives of many players, and it's not over yet!
Hogwarts Legacy is back, it's going to be even more magical
The news came at the same time as the big presentation conference: Hogwarts Legacy will be getting its Nintendo Switch 2 version. On June 5th, the day the new hybrid console releases, you can either buy the full game or upgrade for €10 if you already own the version released on the original Switch.
Hogwarts Legacy quickly became one of the best-selling games of its generation. It even found its audience on Nintendo Switch. Although it arrived later on this platform, many were expecting it there. But, it had to be admitted: it was far from being the most optimized version compared to those on the most recent consoles. Slowdowns, very (too) long loading times, and other bugs could get on the nerves of the public.
Fortunately, many people will soon be able to discover or rediscover the magic of Hogwarts Legacy. Much more than a simple port, the enhanced version of the game promises to be bewitching. The experience promises to be significantly smoother and more immersive thanks to the Nintendo Switch 2's performance. Even the graphics have received a good bit of a makeover. With more detailed textures and more vibrant colors, the new console will offer a rendering much closer to what we saw when it was released on PS5 and Xbox Series.
Of course, this version on Nintendo Switch 2 won't completely match the competition. Let's not even talk about the PC version. But the gameplay presentation offered by Warner Bros. suggests a nice revival for Hogwarts Legacy. Although it won't receive DLC, we can still say that the Hogwarts adventure still has a bright future ahead of it while waiting for a sequel.
