Kingdom Hearts 4 has shifted into high gear, it's confirmed!

Since its announcement in 2022, Kingdom Hearts 4 hasn't been talked about much. In fact, players were starting to get terribly impatient with its absence, until, without warning, the title finally returned to the spotlight two weeks ago. Armed with some new images for the occasion, Square Enix then indicated that it was continuing to work hard on the development of the title, with more information to come "when the time comes". And once again, things are slowly starting to become clearer.

The dubbing of Kingdom Hearts 4 has begun

Indeed, while it's not really a big surprise at this stage of development, we now have confirmation that the English dubbing of Kingdom Hearts 4 has begun. And we already know the identity of one of the actors who will be in the cast: a certain Zach Pokres. The latter, who is also known as a content creator, revealed the information in a tweet recently published on X, before specifying that he was naturally not authorized to reveal more for the moment.

We therefore do not know what role he is expected to play, nor what stage of production Kingdom Hearts 4 is currently at. On the other hand, we do know that Pokres has been working on it over the past year, which shows that the project is indeed actively underway. Probably unknown to the general public, the actor also specifies that this is not his only role, since he has also worked on small games like Indigo Park and MiSide, then on an animated series called Puppy Guard during the year 2024.

A role that's still mysterious

At this stage, it remains difficult to say whether Pokres will play an important character in Kingdom Hearts 4, or whether he will instead have a secondary or even tertiary role. In any case, after years of complete silence, it's safe to say: all information is welcome. And as one might imagine, this should only be the beginning. Things are likely to get moving in the coming months, and perhaps even, hopefully, as early as this week at Summer Game Fest. After all, it would be the perfect opportunity for Square Enix to unveil a new trailer.
