Nothing reveals the price of its next smartphone and it's far from being nothing

Carl Pei, the boss of Nothing, reveals information on the official price of the upcoming Nothing Phone 3. With a price that, unsurprisingly, leaves the previous model in the rearview mirror. The executive hopes to successfully move his smartphone line upmarket – in the hope of establishing himself in the premium segment.

Nothing reveals the price of its next smartphone and it's far from being nothing

Carl Pei gives news of the Nothing Phone 3, which seems to be fast approaching. The CEO also provides details on the price of the new model, which had already been expected for some time to be significantly higher than that of the previous generation. And... the scenario of the end of affordable Nothing Phones is confirmed, without too much surprise.

It must be said that Nothing co-founder Akis Evangelidis had already said on 𝕏 that the Nothing Phone 3 would be the brand's first true flagship. Even though Nothing had until now positioned itself rather in the high-end. In a video on the official Android YouTube channel, Carl Pei confirms that the Nothing Phone 3 will be sold "around 800 euros". Which should translate, incidentally, into a price of $1,063 in the United States after conversion and customs duties.

The Nothing Phone 3 will no longer have anything to do with a mid-range smartphone

To make the pill easier to swallow, Carl Pei gives some details on what users can expect from this model. Broadly speaking, it's about premium materials, a major leap in performance, and software improvements across the board to deliver a better overall experience, with deep AI implementation.

He also reveals the device's launch window, which he says should hit the market "sometime this summer". The brand is expected to reveal more and more details about the Nothing Phone 3 in the meantime, as it has traditionally done in the pre-launch era of previous generations.

As a reminder, the Nothing Phone 2 was launched on July 21, 2023, with a starting price of €679, a difference of €121. A significant sum, certainly, but one that could potentially disappear in the eyes of customers if Nothing offers real premium features in exchange.
