It's been a long time since the PS Plus Essential games, or at least some of them, were leaked. The days when their names were revealed in advance are now over, but sometimes Sony accidentally makes small mistakes. This is the case for next month's program. One of the first titles offered to all subscribers was apparently leaked thanks to the PS Store and it was more than relevant. It remained to be seen whether it was indeed part of the free PS Plus games for May 2025, and now we have the answer.
PS Plus games for May 2025 revealed
The rumor therefore had it that Until Dawn Remake would be one of the three games offered to all subscribers next week. A game that made sense, given the brand's current events. Sony has indeed released the film inspired by the license in theaters and everything suggested that PlayStation was going to make a gesture to those who were going to discover the Supermassive universe in theaters. The PS Store had indeed displayed this remake as a game offered with PS Plus Essential, which was in itself a rather good surprise, given that it is very recent.
A few days later, the Japanese publisher revealed the complete list of free PS Plus games for May 2025. Is Until Dawn Remake part of it? Well no, false alarm. Instead, subscribers will be entitled to one of last year's GOTY, a popular multiplayer survival game and a very good FPS. Here are all the games that will be offered:
- Ark: Survival Ascended | PS5
- Balatro | PS5, PS4
- Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun | PS5, PS4
When will the May 2025 PlayStation Plus games be available?
These next three free PS Plus Essential games will be available for download from Tuesday, May 6 to June 3, 2025, always around 11 a.m.. As always, remember that the free titles are accessible and, above all, kept for as long as your subscription lasts, or as soon as you reactivate it. The only condition: claim them on time, after which they become chargeable again. Latecomers, you only have a few days left to get your hands on the PS Plus games for April 2025. Last chance to get the excellent RoboCop Rogue City, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory.
As for the new PS Plus Extra and Premium games, they will be announced in a few weeks, as always. Until then, subscribers will still have a handful of days to complete or try the 21 games that will leave the service on May 20, 2025. This includes, as a reminder, GTA 5 or even Batman Arkham Knight, just like that!
