It's official, Rayman will be returning to Ubisoft. This information was confirmed by the publisher itself last year. But, since then, Ubisoft has remained very discreet and we don't really know how the famous mascot will make his big comeback: remaster, remake, new game?
Already last month, the first job offers suggested that Ubisoft was preparing a truly ambitious comeback with several projects in development. Today, an offer directly mentions a prestigious AAA game.
Rayman: the big comeback approaching?
It was through social networks that we learned that several Ubisoft studios (including Ubisoft Montpellier) are working on the return of Rayman. The RaymanTogether account, which specializes in the Rayman franchise, spotted a job posting that mentions a "prestigious AAA." On the other hand, we have the fan account Driver Madness, which discovered other job postings confirming that Ubisoft Montpellier was also working on the Rayman franchise. Ubisoft therefore seems to be taking the subject very seriously. The prestigious AAA seems to be hinting at the arrival of a possible new game. While remasters or remakes could also be in development since Ubisoft is currently developing several projects around the Rayman franchise. Unfortunately, for the moment, we will have to be patient, because the projects seem to be at the beginning of their production and Ubisoft will probably take some time to communicate on the subject.
