Samsung has been talking about its new Galaxy S25 series smartphone for several months. With the Galaxy S25 Edge, the Korean giant aimed to create the thinnest high-end smartphone possible. And the least we can say is that it's succeeded! We tell you everything about this new model and, above all, where to pre-order it at the lowest price.
Since January and the release of the S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, we knew that the range would expand further with the S25 Edge. Samsung even showed it off in March at the MWC show in Barcelona. And today the Korean brand has officially presented it and launched pre-orders at the same time.
This brand new smartphone is positioned in the range between the S25/S25+ and the S25 Ultra. Its main feature is that it is extremely thin at only 5.8 mm thick and very light with a featherweight of 163 grams.
The Galaxy S25 Edge is available in two configurations. The 256 GB version has a launch price of 1252.05 euros and the 512 GB version has a recommended retail price of 1372.05 euros. You also have the choice between three colors: Titanium Silver, Titanium Light Blue and Titanium Absolute Black. By pre-ordering it now, your smartphone will ship on May 26, 2025.

The characteristics of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge
The main characteristic of this Galaxy S25 Edge is obviously its thinness since it is quite simply the thinnest smartphone ever created by Samsung. As a reminder, the S25 Ultra is 8.2 mm thick while the S25 Edge is only 5.8 mm thick. The difference is therefore more than noticeable.
And of course, a thin smartphone also means a light smartphone. In comparison, the S25 Ultra weighs 218 grams while the S25 Edge weighs only 163 grams. For the rest of the design, we remain on high-end materials with a titanium frame and Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 screen protection.
Under the hood, we have the pleasure of finding the same chip as on the Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra, in this case the super-powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite engraved in 3 nm. The S25 Edge also benefits from 12 GB of RAM to ensure performance equivalent to the other models in the range. You will therefore be able to benefit from the same capabilities in terms of artificial intelligence with access to all the features of Galaxy AI: Circle to Search, Gemini and Gemini Live, Now Bar, Now Brief, Best Pose, Audio Eraser, Retouch Suggestion…
For the screen, the Galaxy S25 Edge takes that of the S25+, namely a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X LTPO panel. As for the photo part, we find the impressive main sensor of the S25 Ultra, the 200 MP wide-angle, associated with the 12 MP ultra-wide angle of the S25 and S25+. Finally, the front camera takes the 12 MP sensor present on the entire range.
It is in the size of the battery that the biggest concession will have to be made. Extreme thinness requires, the capacity has been reduced to 3900 mAh. Samsung still promises a full day of use without needing to recharge. Moreover, the Korean manufacturer has made a point of keeping 25W fast charging and 15W wireless charging.
Finally, like all Samsung smartphones in the S25 range, the S25 Edge benefits from 7 years of Android and security updates.
