Silent Hill 2 Remake would not have finished surprising you, something would be preparing

It's been several months since the release of the Silent Hill 2 remake, taking more or less everyone by surprise. Indeed, while great distrust surrounded the project developed by Bloober Team, the Polish studio ultimately received a shower of praise and apologies from the public for its work. And while the game seems to be behind us today, some fans continue to hold out hope that the DLC that accompanied the original game will be remade in turn. And just then, a new element has added fuel to the fire on this subject.

A DLC on the way for Silent Hill 2?

As some Internet users have noticed on SteamDB, it appears that an update was made two weeks ago in the game files. However, no patch has recently been deployed by the studio for Silent Hill 2. So, it didn't take much for some to start dreaming of an announcement around Born from a Wish, the DLC featuring the character of Maria before James arrives in town. Especially knowing that the game's page contains the mention "including DLC".

That being said, we'd like to warn you right away: this doesn't confirm anything at all. Not only is the latter present in many games, which therefore seems to be a general mention, but Bloober Team has never confirmed anything about this famous DLC. It could therefore simply be a usual update, intended to bring some fixes to improve the player experience. Even if, naturally, we can only dream of seeing Born from a Wish become a reality, especially with the summer conferences and their announcements approaching.

Bloober Team, a busy studio

In any case, if the existence of the Silent Hill 2 DLC were to be confirmed, we should probably hear about it very soon. But let's remember that Bloober Team has already started communicating about its next game, Cronos: The New Dawn, which is expected to be released this year. So it's not impossible that the studio has already moved on. Fortunately, we might be able to count on the presence of Silent Hill f, the next upcoming installment, to console us.
