Last December, we learned that Scrubs, the cult medical series from the 2000s, was getting a reboot! A few months later, the casting for the remake is becoming clearer, including the return of one of the actors from the original sitcom. Excellent news for fans of this hospital universe...
This actor from Scrubs is back for the reboot
Between 2001 and 2010, throughout the decade of the 2000s, fans of Scrubs followed with happiness medical interns, nurses and their bosses at the Sacré Coeur hospital. Completely wacky, the sitcom is one of those cult series that networks want to produce reboots of, as is the case for Buffy the Vampire Slayer (in which a Star Wars actress will replace Sarah Michelle Gellar). A new generation of viewers is therefore preparing to discover the adventures of these apprentice doctors, with the return of one of the actors from the original cast. Indeed, several American sites have just announced that Zach Braff, who plays John Dorian, will be back in the remake!
Zach Braff, a big fan of Scrubs
Already, last October, the 50-year-old actor confided to our colleagues at Variety that he missed the role of J.D., and that he would be up for playing in the reboot: "The idea of playing again and laughing with my friends for 10 or 12 episodes, one or two seasons, it's a dream." Zach Braff is not the only one returning from the original series, since he will be reunited with Bill Lawrence, the creator of Scrubs, also returns, this time as a producer. The two men had already worked together in the past, the actor having appeared in another Bill Lawrence series calledCougar Town, which aired between the late 2000s and the mid-2010s. Developed by ABC, this reboot should be revealed over the coming months, with new names added to the cast.
Until then, don't hesitate to check out our before/after of the actors of the series Scrubs!
