It's brand new (and beautiful?): the Veo 3 video generation tool can now also produce artificial voices. Designed by Google, this tool is competing with Open AI's Sora, and some "AI artists" are already starting to use it, with simply astonishing results...

On the internet, many people have harnessed AI to bring their wildest fantasies to life, from Harry Potter characters partying in a pub to dragons symbolizing countries. Until now, these were mostly visuals or animated videos without sound or words, the tools allowing sound being rather poor quality. But a new product from Google is filling this "gap": Veo 3, the third generation of their video generation tool competing with Sora's OpenAI, can also generate audio. A major advancement announced by Google at Google I/O 2025, their annual conference for developers. In its press release, the company explains that Veo 3 can generate "traffic sounds in the background of a street scene, birdsong in a park, even dialogue between characters".

WE CAN TALK! I spent 2 hours playing with Veo 3 @googledeepmind and it blew my mind now that it can do sound! It can talk, and this is all out of the box... pic.twitter.com/ufplpcZWbq

On X, "AI artist" @arikuschnir used Veo 3 to create a video in which characters designed with artificial intelligence speak and move in a very realistic way. You can even hear them singing with different voice intonations. SiVeo 3 isn't the first tool to offer artificial sound generation; Google is the first major company to offer such AI, with such high-quality results. For now, it's only available in the US for Google One AI Premium subscribers, but it's only a matter of time before users around the world can use it!
