The Nintendo Direct of summer 2025 is being waited for...
Nintendo players shouldn't be bored by the end of the year. Between the Switch 2's launch, free and paid updates, and games like Metroid Prime 4 and Pokemon ZA, there's still plenty to do. But overall, some feel the timeline is far too vague. For example, Metroid Prime 4 Beyond doesn't have a release date. What if there's a Nintendo Direct in June or very soon?
According to insider Nate The Hate, there won't be a Nintendo Direct in the imminent future. "I'm not aware of anything in the near future. I'm not aware of anything imminent. But of course, Nintendo is going to have to communicate what's coming to the Switch 2 in the second half of the year beyond what they've already announced. Also, third parties will want to announce more of their upcoming games this year. So, it's really just a matter of when the next Nintendo Direct will be." Not being sure himself about the holding of this summer Nintendo Direct, Nate The Hate is wondering when such a presentation could be put online. It seems unlikely for June, but perhaps the meeting has been postponed to July, August or even the start of the school year in September.
