It may not have won the "Game of the Year" award at The Game Awards, but one thing is certain: it has undoubtedly left its mark on the minds of many gamers. From its announcement to its release on PS5 and PC in August 2024, Black Myth: Wukong has established itself as a true phenomenon within the industry. Both a critical and commercial success, it has propelled Game Science into the spotlight, in addition to having largely contributed to highlighting the Chinese market. And today, the studio has a big announcement to make.
Black Myth: Wukong se trouve une date sur Xbox Series
Indeed, while we were no longer expecting it, Game Science has finally made official the arrival of Black Myth: Wukong on Xbox Series. Finally, some will say! And the good news is that you won't have to wait long before you can enjoy it, as the title will be available on Microsoft consoles on August 20, 2025. Pre-orders will begin on June 18, and will be accompanied by a series of promotions across all platforms.
From June 18 to July 3, you will be able to benefit from a 20% discount on any purchase of Black Myth: Wukong made on the PlayStation Store. This promotion will then extend until July 11 on the Microsoft Store. The same applies to PC, except that the discount will not be effective until June 20 on Steam or the Epic Games Store, and it will also end on July 11. This should allow all those who have not yet taken the plunge to join the Black Myth: Wukong adventure.
A report that had caused debate
As a reminder, the postponement of the Xbox Series version of the game had caused a lot of reaction over the last year. Indeed, some had accused PlayStation of having negotiated a temporary exclusivity with Game Science, which instead indicated that it had encountered difficulties optimizing Black Myth: Wukong on Xbox Series S. A statement that then prompted some Microsoft players to take action, the latter judging the studio's excuse more than fallacious. Fortunately, all's well that ends well, then.
