Spike Chunsoft and Bandai Namco hit the nail on the head last year with the release of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. The title, which brought the Budokai Tenkaichi formula back to the forefront, broke concurrent player records. However, despite the excitement, some disappointments were felt among fans. But the teams haven't said their last word and made a shocking announcement!
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero scores a big hit
Following the momentum of previous Dragon Ball games, Sparking Zero is gradually consolidating its roster with additional content. However, the additions aren't always to everyone's taste. Typically, the latest DLCs, mainly inspired by DB Daima, haven't been unanimously acclaimed. The next one, however, might revive some of the excitement.
Yesterday, Bandai revealed a new contender coming to Dragon Ball Sparking Legends, and not just any contender! It's Shallot, a Saiyan from a bygone era designed by Akira Toriyama. His name might not ring a bell for the general public, but he shines as the protagonist of the mobile game DB Legends. It's a great way to celebrate the 7th anniversary of the latter by raising awareness of a character full of charisma and impressive abilities!
An increasingly complete roster for Sparking Zero
Even if not all the fighters appeal to players, the roster of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is particularly substantial. It will also continue to grow. After the first two major DLCs of 2025, a third one, again from Daima, is planned.
To tide you over, Bandai and Chunsoft have decided to give a little surprise to the most ardent fans of the Dragon Ball universe! Thus, Shallot will join Sparking Zero as DLC from June 27. Season Pass owners will even be able to try it three days early. In fact, it will be available in early access from June 24, 2025.
