Despite its very different character from the original game, Elden Ring Nightreign had a record-breaking launch, surpassing 3.5 million sales in less than a week. FromSoftware therefore still holds a huge hit in its hands, even if there are still many things to improve and add to perfect its copy. Among these missing elements, a regrettably absent feature, which is due to arrive officially later. Until then, it is already unofficially available, but not for everyone.
Unofficial change to Elden Ring Nightreign expeditions
After preliminary "mixed" reviews, particularly from Elden Ring Nightreign players on Steam, the Elden Ring spin-off is gradually regaining favor with the community. FromSoftware has also been quick to respond to their complaints, releasing two updates in quick succession to address several pressing issues, including making solo expeditions a little less punishing. While players are gradually finding solutions to the requirement to create a party of three to fully enjoy the game, the inability to launch duo expeditions remains one of their biggest complaints.
FromSoftware has assured that this coveted feature will arrive via a later update. In the meantime, a modder has taken the lead to make it available early, but inevitably, for now, it will only be available on the PC version of Elden Ring Nightreign. If you're playing on PC, you can already download the "Seamless Co-op Nightreign" mod, by Yui, from Nexus Mods.
A small warning is in order, however. This is indeed a very early mod, which can therefore generate its share of bugs. In addition, using mods prevents access to the online features of Elden Ring Nightreign, and also requires a different save than the one for the unmodded game. A double-edged mod, so use it if you really can't wait to play Nightreign as a duo. Otherwise, it's better to wait until a more official solution is deployed.
