Forza Horizon 6 and three other huge games confirmed by Xbox

Closing a packed Xbox Games Showcase 2025 with announcements, the big conference from Microsoft's gaming branch as part of the Summer Game Fest included a final announcement for Call of Duty Black Ops 7, but also confirmation that other huge licenses from the brand, including Forza Horizon 6, are indeed in the works and will arrive soon.

Forza Horizon 6 and other huge Xbox licenses confirmed

While the final real announcement from the Xbox Games Showcase was Call of Duty Black Ops 7 by Activision, other major licenses from the huge conglomerate that is today Microsoft's gaming branch also received confirmation from the group's big boss, Phil Spencer. He took the stage with a closing speech at the conference to discuss Forza Horizon 6, as well as Fable, Gears of War E-Day, and Halo.

The Xbox bigwig began his speech by stating that 2026 will mark the brand's 25th anniversary. The brand is clearly preparing to celebrate this pivotal anniversary in an explosive way. Phil Spencer had this to say on the subject: " Celebrating 25 years of Xbox with a new Fable, the next Forza, Gears of War E-Day, and the return of a classic we've been carrying since our beginnings." Regarding the last game mentioned, it's the legendary Halo Combat Evoled, which will be remastered under Unreal Engine 5, developed by the now-defunct 343 Industries, which has since October been known by the more evocative name Halo Studios, to mark a new beginning for the iconic Xbox franchise.

Unfortunately, for the time being, we will have to be content with these words mentioned by Phil Spencer, and a release window of 2026, on platforms not yet mentioned, for Forza Horizon 6, Gears of War E-Day and therefore Halo Combat Evolved Remaster. However, we can expect PC, Xbox Series, Game Pass, the newly announced Xbox Ally, and potentially the PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
