The launch date for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 is getting closer. As usual, they'll be officially unveiled at Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event this summer, alongside, if the rumors are true, new Galaxy Watch 8s and the new One UI 8 interface based on Android 16. The Android XR-based virtual reality headset could also make an appearance before its likely September launch. A Z Flip 7 FE could also be in the pipeline.
We were all expecting these products during the summer, but a particularly reliable leaker, Evan Blass, has probably just given us the exact date of the event.
A conference in New York?
According to a terse post on x.com, "the next Galaxy Unpacked" would take place on July 9, 2025, at 4 p.m. Paris time. This prediction aligns with the various leaks of recent weeks that suggested an event in early July. It should be added that last year, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 presentation event in Paris for the 2024 Olympic Games took place on July 10.
In his message, the leaker used the North American Eastern Time zone (EDT), which could suggest that the conference would take place in New York, as some rumors have suggested. Samsung seems to like changing its location for each conference, but the United States tends to receive the favor of the Korean in most cases.
