Summer promises to be enchanting for The Sims 4. Maxis has just unveiled the new summer roadmap, and the least we can say is that nature is in the spotlight. Between a magical expansion pack, free updates, and a new event, players will have plenty to spend a great summer... without leaving their sofa.
Fantasy in the head for The Sims 4
The theme is clear: this summer, it's all about imagination in The Sims 4. The studio invites fans to "simify" their days with content inspired by nature, magic, and the little pleasures of the outdoors. Slightly chaotic barbecues, seasonal makeovers, romance under the stars... anything goes.
And as always with The Sims 4, it's up to you to write the story. Whether you want to plant flowers, tinker in the forest, or sleep in a tent, this summer, anything is possible. The big hit of the season is obviously the next expansion pack: Enchanted Nature. Its reveal is scheduled for June 12, with a first gameplay trailer on June 26. As for its release, it is set for July 10 on PC and consoles.
This new content promises a magical universe, populated by fantastical creatures and secrets hidden in the heart of the woods. A breath of fresh air for fans of slightly magical adventures. But also a welcome return to a more supernatural touch in the game.
A bonus event
Starting June 24, a limited-time event will be available to all players of The Sims 4 base game. Entitled Call of the Wild, it will invite Sims to perfect their Tinkering skill in order to uncover an old secret buried in the forest. Enough to add a little mystery to your games.
This summer, everyone will be entitled to their dose of new features, even without spending a cent. Two free updates to the base game are planned, with content accessible to all players. The first will arrive on July 1st and will bring new elements related to nature and vegetation, perfect for giving your games a summery feel. Finally, the second, scheduled for August 19th, will focus on Sims customization, with new skin options. A great opportunity to refresh your homes and try out new looks. All without going to the store on The Sims 4.
