25 Later, this cult anime finally offers itself a VF

Viewers who love French-language versions will finally be able to discover one of the major anime of the 2000s. 25 years after its initial broadcast, the boxing series Hajime no Ippo is finally receiving a full French dub thanks to the efforts of Anime Digital Network. At the time, only the first 24 episodes had benefited from a French adaptation, leaving the following seasons and films abandoned. The French platform specializing in anime and cartoons has therefore worked hard to produce a French version of all the seasons and films released to date.

A gradual rollout in the catalog

The complete Hajime no Ippo series will not be released all at once. ADN has planned a very precise schedule to keep viewers in suspense until next fall. First, the series Hajime no Ippo: The Fighting! will be released online in three stages, starting with a first part available since Monday, March 24th. The next one will be available from May 26th, while the last one will appear on July 28th.

On the same date, the feature films Champion Road and Mashiba vs. Kimura will also be launched on the platform. The series New Challenger will enter the catalog from September 29th, and will be followed by the final series Rising on from November 24th. Regarding the first 24 episodes of the anime, ADN took care to specify that these have also been re-dubbed in order to ensure the continuity of the voices, as well as a quality worthy of today’s standards.

Hajime no Ippo, what is it about?

The work of manga artist George Morikawa tells the story of Hajime Makunouchi, a frail and reserved high school student whose destiny is changed thanks to boxing. When professional boxer Mamoru Takamura takes him under his wing after saving him from the wrath of his bullies, Hajime discovers an innate talent for this discipline that he intends to master at the highest level. If you miss the typical atmosphere of shounen from the 80s/90s, Hajime no Ippo will not fail to meet all your expectations.
