Mac Studio: Apple breaks its own records with two new fleas

Making an ever more powerful Mac may seem impossible, there is a day when Apple will encounter a glass ceiling, a technological limit preventing it from progressing. This day may come, but it is not for now. The brand with the apple has just made a new demonstration of power with its Mac Studio.

Apple is hitting (very) hard in the market of professional computers, the "beasts" of power, which are only used by 1% of the population (and the percentage is optimistic). But while this new Mac Studio has in store for us, Apple starts by showing us two new chips.

A monster of power

The desktop computer actually arrives with a new version of the M3 chip, seen yesterday on the 7th generation iPad Air, but it is pushed to its maximum. The chip is marketed in an "Ultra" variant, making it super powerful. We are talking here about a 28-core CPU, a 60-core GPU and 32 cores dedicated to the Neural Engine (artificial intelligence).

With such a level of power, the Mac Studio M3 Ultra is quite simply "the most powerful Mac in Apple's history". A war machine that obviously also has a cost that defies all logic. The Mac Studio in this variant costs 4999 euros.

An "entry-level" version

But Apple does not offer the Mac Studio only for professionals, the computer was also designed initially as an intermediary between the Mac mini and the Mac Pro. So the Cupertino company had to market a more affordable version of its device. So that the general public could, if not order, project themselves with such a machine on their desk.

This is how the Mac Studio M4 Max came to be. The desktop computer, sold for "only 2499 euros", does not seem to make many compromises. It is equipped with a latest-generation chip, with a 14-core CPU, a 32-core GPU and a 16-core Neural Engine.

At In this respect, it is as powerful (on paper) as the most powerful 14-inch MacBook Pro. While the latter was released just a few months ago. That is to say the power gap between this new Mac Studio and the rest of the range at Apple. Even the Mac Pro, designed to be the ultimate reference, has all the trouble in the world to overshadow it.

If you are looking for a computer capable of doing everything, and more, Apple has just released the machine you need. For the other 99% of the population, we can only admire such a device, wondering who will be able to push this machine to its limits.
