Take a little Evil Dead, a spoonful of Supernatural, and a good dose of Kevin Bacon and you get what could be a must-watch series on Prime Video. If the American platform hopes to make the return of The Wheel of Time its spring event — the third season arrives on March 13 — another series in the fantasy section could get people talking more widely. It must be said that the mere mention of its cast arouses a certain interest among viewers.
It is with the one that was revealed by Footloose in 1984 that viewers have a date on April 3. A month before its launch, the series The Bondsman is revealed through first images... bloody as desired. The video is even “R-Rated”, do not understand accessible to all audiences. It is an opportunity to imagine the approach of Graiger David, creator of the original Prime Video production. The trailer does not skimp on violence and hemoglobin, making it a perfect contender for the title of fantastic and crazy series of the year. A hell of a story
The narration will follow Hub Halloran, a former bounty hunter who returns from the dead and is entrusted with a mission that is, to say the least, singular. Now, he works for the devil and must hunt down demons that are causing chaos in the city. With the help of a minion of Satan, literally, he will find and put out of harm's way the inmates of hell who have escaped. Failure is not really an option for Hub who would immediately see himself sent back six feet under. Humor, big fight sequences and a Kevin Bacon at the top of his game, what more could you ask for.
Alongside Kevin Bacon, The Bondsman will feature Jennifer Nettles, Damon Herriman, Beth Grant and Jolene Purdy. The latter plays the agent sent by Satan. This is not the first time she has invited herself to the distribution of a series since she was in WandaVision, The White Lotus season 1 and The Magicians. Kevin Bacon meanwhile signs a thunderous return to the small screen after I Love Dick launched in 2017 and City on Hill in 2019.
