Realme announced its new products at the MWC in Barcelona. In addition to its 14 Pro series, the Chinese brand unveiled the Ultra, a smartphone that aims to revolutionize mobile photography. An interesting product on paper, but you won't be able to use it as is.
Realme let loose at the MWC in Barcelona. The BBK brand has made its new products official, including the Realme 14 Pro and the Realme 14 Pro+ that we tested. In addition to these two mid-range, it presented the Ultra, a camera phone that wants to revolutionize smartphone photo taking.
This is an ultra high-end phone that has a huge central module. At first glance, it looks like two drops of water to the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, but its philosophy is a little different. Few details on the technical characteristics, but Realme specified that the wide angle is a 1-inch sensor designed by Sony.
A smartphone designed for photographers
The principle of the phone is that it is possible to attach not one, but two professional-quality lenses. Proprietary attachment grafts, it should be noted. The first is a 73 mm lens for portrait mode, while the second is a 234 mm with a X10 zoom without any loss of quality. A tough one, in short.
On paper, this could be interesting, especially for photographers who like to carry their camera around with them wherever they go. In any case, this is the target that Realme wants to attract. However, these potential consumers will not be able to test the thing for themselves. The Ultra is not a mass-produced product, but a simple concept for now. We ourselves saw it at the show, but we were unable to get our hands on it.
These concepts are intended to attract attention, to show the brand's know-how but also to set the stage for the future. In fact, we will never have the Ultra as it was unveiled in the hands, but it is not impossible that this interchangeable lens gimmick will be included in a future product.

As for the smartphones on the market, we were able to test the Realme 14 Pro+, a convincing phone, especially for its price.
