In a world where technology is everywhere, juggling between PCs, smartphones and tablets can be a hassle. At MWC 2025 in Barcelona, Motorola and Lenovo are introducing a new version of Smart Connect. The feature, which enabled seamless operation between Motorola and Lenovo devices, is being enhanced with the integration of AI.
With Smart Connect, users can now switch effortlessly between devices, whether they are working, creating or having fun. Miracast connectivity, Smart Clipboard and App Streaming already enable share files, copy and paste content, and access mobile apps instantly across devices.
Moto AI plays plays a role in this experience by removing the barriers that slow down everyday actions. The manufacturer assures that it allows you to open a file, find a contract or resume a project simply and instantly.
The end of searching
Already used by 9 million users each month, Smart Connect improves file management and connection between devices. The addition of Moto AI on certain compatible models further optimizes this fluidity. When traveling, a simple voice command is enough to project a presentation on a television or extend it to a PC or tablet, the company explains. There is no longer any need to search through menus or configure the connection manually.
This immediacy is also found with AI Search. This feature simplifies the search for documents, such as a hotel bill, a rental agreement or a bank statement. Smart Connect is there to instantly identify the right file. “Just ask naturally, as if you were speaking to a personal assistant, and Smart Connect instantly identifies the right file,” Motorola indicates.
Smart Connect opens up to third-party Android devices
Motorola’s ecosystem adapts to each user with a customizable dashboard. This brings together all compatible devices, from PC to smartphone, tablet, Moto Tag and Moto Buds.
Another major announcement, Smart Connect is opening up to third-party Android devices. A greater number of users are likely to access Lenovo and Motorola ecosystem. The new version of Smart Connect will be available in the coming weeks on Windows 10 and 11 via the Microsoft Store, as well as on selected Lenovo tablets and Motorola smartphones via the Google Play Store.
