Autosur, a specialist in automotive technical inspections, announces that its website has been the victim of a cyberattack. More than 10 million people are affected. Here is what data has been... stolen.
The black streak continues. Since the end of 2024, large-scale cyberattacks have been occurring in France. Some target internet service providers like Free, while others focus on well-known brands. Even entities that we imagine to be far removed from the phenomenon, such as sports federations, are affected. It is no exaggeration to say that no one is safe from now on.
In March 2025, it was the turn of Autosur, a company specializing in automotive technical inspections, to announce to more than 10 million customers that it had suffered a cyberattack. You can already Change your account password if you have one.
Information of 10 million Autosur customers has been stolen by cybercriminals
On a dedicated page of the Autosur website, we can read that the firm has “identified a security incident involving unauthorized access to certain data” relating to its customers. Here are the details hackers now have access to:
- First and last name
- Email address
- Postal address
- Telephone number
- License plate number
Autosur specifies that it “does not hold your banking details“, so there is no risk of fraud at this level. However, the other data recovered can be used to conduct phishing campaigns or even attempt to connect to services linked to your email address.

Be especially careful in the coming weeks if you receive a message mentioning your home address and/or license plate to prove its legitimacy. It is with this type of stolen information that hackers try to make you lower your guard.
For its part, Autosur states that "all necessary measures were taken immediately to put an end to this incident and strengthen the protection of our information systems." The site provides an email address to write to if you have any questions regarding the cyberattack.
