Days Gone Remastered reassures players after disappointment

After Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, the PS5 and PC will welcome Days Gone Remastered. We wouldn't have bet on a return of the license, especially after the rejection of a sequel by the management of Bend Studio, but Deacon St. John and the horde of infected chasing him will have a second chance. And according to Kevin McAllister - no relation to the one from Home Alone -, product and creation manager, the team really didn't do things by halves. The difference will be visible even if the first images could suggest otherwise.

Days Gone Remastered wants to leverage the power of the PS5

Despite the cancellation of their new game, and unfortunately layoffs, Bend Studio is still in place. We hope this will last as long as possible for the developers, of course. While waiting to start a new large-scale project, the team will release Days Gone Remastered on PS5 and PC on April 25, 2025. The redemption remaster to perhaps have the chance to continue this story? Perhaps that's the idea behind it.

In any case, it seems that Days Gone Remastered has much more to offer than what we saw in the first video comparison. According to Kevin McAllister, the years between Days Gone and its remaster, and technological developments, will allow the vision to be further expressed. " There was so much more to do to demonstrate the game's potential. With the graphical improvements we've made, you'll quickly see the difference. The game is brighter, the quality of the shadows is improved, the depth of the fog too. For example, the night is now much darker and the moon looks much closer to reality. The blue sky is more natural too. Days Gone is a game with very realistic graphics. And this takes on a whole new dimension with the PS5. Days Gone therefore reassures players after the disappointment of the first comparative visuals.

Beyond the graphics themselves, this PS5 and PC version will have hordes that will increase from 500 to 800 mutants with the Horde Assault mode. This will be one of the new content features along with the Permanent Death and Speedrun modes. If this return is really conclusive, we might be entitled to a real single-player Days Gone 2 game, who knows!
