At the end of the year, the search engine announced a new feature: the camera and screen sharing function. It allows you to engage in a natural conversation with Gemini. from what is on the screen: an image, a video, live capture from the camera, or even files.
Google's AI looks at your screen to help the user
This feature has started appearing on the Pixel 9 (including the 9a, which will be available from April 14) as well as the Galaxy S25, at no cost to all Gemini users. On other Android smartphones, the feature is reserved for Gemini Advanced subscribers.
Screen reading is an important step towards this "universal AI assistant" that Google aspires to be, it must "understand and interact with the world around you." Quite a program, and to know where to start, Google suggests several ideas: ask Gemini offers tips for organizing a room, finding an item of clothing that will go well with another, or even diagnosing a technical problem.
