Are you tired of juggling between your Orange decoder and your connected TV? Good news: the operator has just made life easier (finally) for its subscribers. Orange TV is now available for free on all screens... and even without a box.
Exit the TV box under the screen: Orange is finally opening its TV application to all Livebox subscribers, at no extra cost. Previously reserved for high-end offers (Up and Max), the platform is now accessible on Smart TV, mobile or web browser. Better still, the start-over function, to resume a live broadcast from the beginning, is activated for everyone.
A decision that aligns Orange with Free and its Oqee service, but with an advantage: more than 150 live channels, thousands of VOD films, and recording on all screens (if the option is activated). The icing on the cake: subscribers don't have to do anything, access is automatic.

Compatibility, replay and French Netflix-like
To enjoy it, simply download the Orange TV app from your TV store. Compatibility required? Samsung (2019+ models), Android TV (version 9+) and Apple TV (tvOS 15+). Any doubts? Type "Orange" in the app store: if it appears, it means the application is compatible with your TV.
In terms of content, the app focuses on extended replay (7 days) and a VOD catalog of 30,000 films/series, including recent releases (4 months after the cinema). The cloud recorder can store 300 hours of programs, ideal for serial binge-watchers.
Orange is thus catching up with Free, which even offers Oqee to its mobile subscribers. There remains one drawback: the app doesn't yet completely replace the decoder (some options still require the box). But for digital nomads, it's a step towards total dematerialization.
With this strategy, the historic operator is probably trying to win back households tempted by 100% streaming offers. When will Netflix or Disney+ be integrated into the app? For now, Orange remains cautious... but retains one advantage: its TV package is included in all its internet subscriptions, unlike Free and Bouygues, which recently launched offers without TV.
