Cyberpunk 2077 Gets New Comparisons on Nintendo Switch 2, It's Promising

Cyberpunk 2077, more precisely in an Ultimate Edition including the base game, the Phantom Liberty DLC and all the updates deployed by CD Projekt RED since the title's release at the end of 2020, will indeed be part of the twenty games accompanying the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 at launch. Once again, the title from the Polish studio allows us to benchmark the technical capabilities of the machine, with rather convincing results in this case.

Comparison between the Switch 2 version of Cyberpunk 2077 and the rest

As a reminder, Cyberpunk 2077 will use NVIDIA's DLSS to obtain the maximum performance allowed by the Nintendo Switch 2's technical specifications, both docked and portable. This will allow CD Projekt RED's title to run at 30 FPS in 4K in Quality mode, and 40 FPS in Performance mode (provided you have a 120 Hz screen) when docked. On the go, you'll naturally have to make concessions, with 30 FPS in 1080p in Quality mode, and 40 FPS in Performance mode, but only in 720p. It's also worth noting that it will be possible to play with a mouse, as Nintendo's next console supports this peripheral via a USB port.

It's also worth remembering that Cyberpunk 2077 has definitely come a long way since its release at the end of 2020. Many must still remember the truly disastrous state of the game on PS4 and Xbox One when it was released. YouTuber Cycu1 has also made a comparison video of this now very old version of the game on these consoles compared to the Nintendo Switch 2 port. We can then clearly see the enormous changes and the fruits of the colossal work done by CD Projekt RED to save its game.

Cycu1 also offers several comparisons of all the current versions of Cyberpunk 2077 with its upcoming port on Nintendo Switch 2. We can thus draw a more precise parallel between this version and those on PS5, Xbox Series or even the Steam Deck. The least we can say is that CD Projekt RED has gone to great lengths to optimize its latest flagship title to run on Nintendo's hybrid device. Now there's only a week left to see the console arrive in our country.
